Maybe without the rims but some crazy graphics like this is just want this car needs and deserves.
Hard top or convertible these things are just the best. I would say it was one of the coolest cars to come out of the US in the 00's.

400hp convertible truck with a manual transmission. It is just everything I will ever need

No you dont.

Yes I do! 400hp manual transmission hot rod truck! How can you NOT want one?
![]() 04/05/2016 at 11:20 |

DO IT

This is your average SSR ownership crowd.
Ask yourself; is this the crowd you want to be associated with???

I mean you did own a Ferrari... But you answer your question I would just drive around with a bag over my head.

I thought you were more into Fiats now.

I AM TOO POOR. College eats all my money!
![]() 04/05/2016 at 11:27 |

You disgust me. Consider this convertible pickup instead!
![]() 04/05/2016 at 11:28 |

You know, I always loved the design of the SSR too. Even if someone were to tell me it was an unmitigated POS, I’d probably still want one. I also want a Prowler too.

PFFT.

There was a Syclone convertible?!?!?!?!!?!?! I’m in love.

1 of 10. I don’t know if this link will work or not...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GMC-Sonoma…
If not, it’s one that was on ebay last week for $75,000.

Won’t haul anything but ass, but you can have the top down too. It’s kinda a pointless car, but it’s awesome.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 11:59 |
|
Meh, it’s a 1/4 ton truck with a capacity of 1/4 ton. I see nothing wrong with that.
So many pointless things are awesome. This. The ordinary Syclone. The Typhoon. The Golf R. The SSR. Ram SRT10.

I thought you could only put like 500 pounds in the bed.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 12:02 |

Which is 1/4 of a ton.

Isn’t the American Way to buy things you can’t afford?
![]() 04/05/2016 at 12:37 |
|
That’s the same complaint you have about the SSR isn’t it?
![]() 04/05/2016 at 12:42 |

Nah. That thing is just ugly.

Nah. That thing is just ugly sexy.

They are both just so odd and great.

I was into Porsches for a little while too.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 12:56 |

I (stupidly) want one, too. I’ve driven them. I know there is absolutely nothing great about driving them. But I guess they just have some... odd... presence.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 13:03 |

Nothing? Not even straight line performance?
![]() 04/05/2016 at 13:17 |

Eh, relative to what else is out there at that price, no. I do remember the first time I drove one we were in a pack driving them back to the dealership. There were 3 or 4 of us, and I was in a lowly 5.3L. On an open stretch, we all punched it from about 60-80, and I was blown away.
At the time I drove a 2.2L S-10. Anything would have impressed me.
They’re heavy. The interior is cramped (try adjusting the seat with the door closed, I dare you). Their handling is cumbersome and not as good as the other sporty GMT360, the TBSS. Which is also much cheaper, much more usable, and probably faster in every metric.

Also, I always thought the operation of the (do I call it a trunk or a bed?) bed was kinda dumb. In order to open the bed, you have to pop the cover first. But, in order to close the cover, you have to open the tailgate first.
You cannot open the tailgate without first popping the cover.
You cannot close the cover without first opening the tailgate.

It’s like the retro styling but somehow it’s worse than the PT cruiser and the HHR, which I’m almost a fan of.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 13:54 |
|
Yeah but I am not sure you can compare it to the others when you consider the utility and design
![]() 04/05/2016 at 13:54 |
|
That is a little weird
![]() 04/05/2016 at 13:57 |
|
Slower and less awesome!
![]() 04/05/2016 at 13:58 |
|
But looks much much better.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 14:02 |

Eh debatable. The Dodge is bland. I wouldn’t say the design is outstanding. At least the SSR was stylized
![]() 04/05/2016 at 14:02 |
|
SSR I’d say is too stylized.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 14:06 |
|
I think you could make a fair argument that it might indeed be too stylized
![]() 04/05/2016 at 14:07 |

Yeah the Dakota could be considered bland, but..... I love the squareness with the side graphics.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 14:08 |
|
Side graphics are pretty cool.

This guy also has a C4 Corvette and a Porsche 968. There’s also a Pontiac G6 Grand Am pace car from a 24 Hours of Daytona in the early 2000s.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 15:53 |

They’re all hard-top convertibles.
I think they’re cool too. Also made for the perfect modern washed-up old muscle car in The Island.
![]() 04/05/2016 at 16:47 |

A very odd garage but also a very cool one

You’re mentally ill.
